n8n training: your team leaves with its first agent.
Your people learn n8n on your own instance, with your own tools and processes. By the last session, your team has built a first agent in n8n on one of its own processes, running on real data with an error path and documentation, and knows how to keep it running when something changes.
After a generic course
- Exercises on demo apps nobody uses
- Workflows that stop at the first error
- Credentials pasted into nodes
- Nobody knows who maintains what
- Every new idea goes back to IT
After our training
- A workflow running on your own processes
- An error workflow that warns a named person
- Credentials stored the right way
- Each workflow with an owner and a runbook
- A team that builds the next one itself
What should n8n training cover?
Good n8n training teaches a team to build workflows that keep working, on its own processes: triggers, data mapping, credentials, error handling, retries, documentation, and AI agent nodes where a step needs judgment. It runs on the company’s own n8n instance, so what people build stays in use afterwards. It has worked when those workflows are still running a month later.
Online n8n courses teach the editor well. What they cannot teach is your data, your permissions and your failure cases, which is exactly where workflows break. Working on your own processes means people meet the real problems during the training, with someone beside them who has solved them before.
We train on n8n first, because it can run on your own servers and suits teams with a technical streak. Teams already on Make can follow the same program on Make, with its scenarios, routers and error handlers.
Three sessions on your processes, then a review.
Before
Pick the processes
A call with the team lead to choose two or three real processes and check access to your n8n. Without n8n yet, we first help you choose between n8n Cloud and self-hosting.
Sessions 1 and 2
Build, then make it hold
Triggers, data mapping and credentials on one of your processes, then error workflows, retries, naming and documentation.
Session 3
Add AI where it helps
An AI agent node on a messy step, with a check and a human approval. Your team leaves with a first agent of its own.
Weeks after
Review
We look at what runs, fix what stalled and answer the questions that came up on real data.
What your team can do on its own afterwards.
Six skills we build on your processes. You choose the ones that fit the people in the room.
Connect two tools
BeforeEvery new link between tools goes to IT, and waits.
AfterThe team connects a form, the CRM and a spreadsheet itself, with the right credentials.
Handle errors
BeforeA workflow stops, and nobody notices for days.
AfterEvery workflow has an error path, and failed runs reach a named person who can replay them.
Call any API
BeforeWhen a tool has no ready-made node, the idea is dropped.
AfterParticipants read the API documentation and make the request themselves, with authentication set up properly.
Use an AI agent node
BeforeAI gets tried in a chat window, then forgotten.
AfterAn AI agent node handles a messy step inside a workflow, and its output is checked before anything is written.
Document and hand over
BeforeWorkflows live in one person’s head.
AfterEach workflow has a description, an owner and a runbook anyone on the team can follow.
Keep it running
BeforeAn update or an API change breaks something, and the team is stuck.
AfterThe team knows how to test an update on a copy, read the execution log and fix a failing step.
Workshops on your instance, online course or self-study: which n8n training?
Three ways teams learn n8n, compared on what is running once the training is over.
| Criterion | Workshops on your instance | Online course | Self-study |
|---|---|---|---|
| Material | Your processes and data | Demo apps and sample data | Whatever comes up |
| Error handling and upkeep | Practiced on your cases | Covered in general terms | Learned after the first incident |
| Credentials and security | Set up with your IT rules | Generic advice | Often improvised |
| AI agent nodes | On a real messy step | On an example | Trial and error |
| What runs afterwards | A first agent built by your team | Exercise workflows | Depends on the person |
| Best for | A team that will maintain workflows | One person, at their own pace | Curious individuals |
n8n training: the questions buyers ask us
Who is the n8n training for?
For the people who will build or maintain workflows: operations, IT, finance, sales operations, anyone at ease with spreadsheets and logic. Most of it needs no coding. Technical profiles can go further with code nodes and direct API calls.
Do we need n8n before the training?
It helps, and the training works best on your own instance. If you do not have one yet, we help you choose between n8n Cloud and self-hosting before the first session, and set up the instance so the training starts on something that will stay.
Can the training cover Make or Zapier instead?
Yes for Make, with the same program adapted to scenarios, routers and error handlers. For Zapier, we cover it as part of an audit or a migration of existing Zaps, because most teams pick it up alone for simple flows.
How many people per group?
Small groups, so each participant builds on a process of their own. We set the size with you, based on the processes chosen and the level of the people taking part.
On site or remote, and in which language?
Both formats work, on site or remote, in English or French. Whatever the format, the sessions run on your own instance, so nothing has to be rebuilt afterwards, and the workflows built in the room keep running the next day.
What happens after the sessions?
A review a few weeks later on what is running, and a written summary of the workflows built, their owners and the next steps. If you wish, we can maintain the most critical workflows while your team gains confidence.
How an n8n training program is priced.
Each program is written around your team and your processes, so there is no catalog price per seat. You receive the price in writing before the first session. Depending on your situation, funding could go through a certified partner training organization.

Training that follows your IT rules.
Security and dataOn your own instance.
Participants work in your n8n, with accounts your IT has approved.
Real data, handled with care.
We agree beforehand which data may be used, and anonymize what needs to be.
Taught by people who run n8n in production.
Every example comes from workflows we build and maintain.
Credentials handled properly.
Participants learn to keep keys in n8n’s credential store, never in a node’s settings.
A written record.
